Jason Cimenski was born and raised in San Diego
California. He received his
Bachelors in Art with a concentration in painting and drawing at California
State Polytechnic University, Pomona. He later returned to school to get his
Masters of Fine Arts at California State University, Fullerton where he has taught drawing and painting courses as a part-time instructor. His work is in a number of private collections and has been included in group and juried exhibitions and shows throughout the Southern California region.
Jason currently lives just outside of Los Angeles at the foot of the San Gabriel Mountains. As a result of his outdoor recreational interests, patterns revealed in nature often influence his work. Other more conceptually based influences include current and past trends in psychology, current domestic & world events as well as various writings that dealing with concepts of systems theory.
